Fine Italian cello for sale by Lorenzo Carcassi. A bold, broad-shouldered cello made in 1747 by Carcassi in Florence. The slab-cut maple back features distinctive knots, and the table has original ‘wings’ consistent with 18th century Italian cello construction. The warm bass, mellow ‘A’-string, and relaxed character of tone make this a very enjoyable cello to play. This cello is sold with a certificate of authenticity by Charles Beare.
