Successive generations of great 19th century makers have aspired to recreate the varnish and style of Stradivari and Guarneri. Of the historic English makers it is John Lott whose inspired reproductions of the old Italian masters are most admired for their spontaneity and audacity. Modelled after a Guarneri del Gesu, this cello features a finely textured red varnish and an attractive one-piece maple back. Offered for sale with the certificate of authenticity by John Dilworth. Please contact us for price and further information if you are interested to buy a cello by this maker.
