Bernhard Simon Fendt studied his craft in Paris with his uncle, Francois, and moved to London in 1798. This fine cello was made shortly after his arrival and is one of the early examples in England of the adoption of the Stradivari form on which it is modelled. This cello is offered for sale with the certificate of authenticity by John Dilworth.
