Fine French cello for sale by Leon Mougenot, made in Mirecourt just over 110 years ago. This cello features pretty maple wood, gently patinated reddy-brown varnish and is made on a model inspired by Stradivari. Raphael Wallfisch demonstrates its silky, warm tone from the slow movement of Dvorak’s cello concerto to an excerpt of unaccompanied Bach. This cello is sold with the certificate of authenticity by Jean-Jacques Rampal, Paris.
