Emile Boulangeot gained experience working successively for Gustave Bernardel and Caressa and Francais in Paris. This cello dates from his later Lyons period after he took over the shop of Paul Blanchard in 1913. Its mellowness of tone is probably due to its unusual slab-cut poplar back, and its Amati-inspired model particularly suits cellists with a smaller hand. Sold with the certificate of authenticity by Jean-Jacques Rampal, Paris. Please contact us for price and further information.
