Bartolomeo Cristofori made musical instruments in Florence for Prince Ferdinand, where he invented the pianoforte. This cello dates from around three hundred years ago; just over fifty years ago it featured on the Beatles soundtrack to ‘Eleanor Rigby. Raphael Wallfisch demonstrates the beautiful tone of this Florentine cello masterpiece in the short video featuring excerpts of Beethoven and Bach. This very rare cello is offered for sale with both its fascinating musical provenance as well as historic documentation and world-leading expertise.
